Dr. Sushil Bhatia, Executive in Residence, Sawyer Business School, Suffolk University, initiated the New Product Innovation Competition as part of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. The 4^th Annual Awards Ceremony was held on March 5^th, 2010.

“In just four years, the competition has grown from 25 entries and 3 judges to over 300 entries and 31 judges,” said Bhatia. The competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students and alumni of Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School, College of Arts and Sciences and Law School. This year’s competition was sponsored by JMD Manufacturing, KaBloom, SBIRbusiness, and Lando and Anastasi.

“Idea, Conviction and Impact form the basis for innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Dr. Gururaj Deshpande, Chairman of Sycamore Networks, who delivered the keynote address.
