Ranbir Kapoor is to be cast in the role of the legendary singer late Kishore Kumar. Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision had been planning the biopic for quite a while now and even had a team of writers working on the script. Once Ranbir heard the story, he told Shree Ashtavinayak that he found the story very fascinating and worth considering the offer. “He told them that it was very entertaining story and he approved of it,” said a source to a news daily. However Kishore Kumar's wife Leena Chandavarkar was surprised that yet another film was being planned on her late husband. “But I have no problem. I think everybody loves my husband unconditionally. Jo bhi banayenge, theek hi banayenge. Only thing is that they should not misinterpret facts,” added Leena.

Plans for bringing Kareena and Shahid Kapoor together to promote their pending project Milenge Milenge have been called off. It has now been decided by producer Boney Kapoor that the pair will promote the film individually. This, to avoid Kareena who's in a committed relationship, any embarrassment and awkwardness, although Shahid who had no objections to collaborating with Kareena on the promotion seems unaware of these developments. When asked if he'd be willing to promote the film jointly with Kareena Shahid says enthusiastically, “Yes, I'll do everything I can to promote it. Of course I'll do everything in my power to see the film gets properly released. It's my film.” Shahid says he has no problems whatsoever promoting the film with Kareena. However producer Boney Kapoor feels it's wiser and more discreet to let Shahid and Kareena do separate promotional work.

Sushmita Sen who is known for frequently moving on with her choice of men has taken a U-turn this time. The former Miss Universe has dumped Mudassar Aziz, who directed her in Dulha Mil Gaya, for her ex-flame Manav Menon. The duo have been spotted together a couple of times in the past few days in Mumbai. The ad filmmaker and Sush had broken up in 2007 due to 'incompatibility'. But now it seems the duo are back to being compatible. According to an eye witnesses, Menon and Sen clearly seem more than just friends again.

Scoffing at the persistent speculations about his political ambitions Shah Rukh says he has absolutely no plans of joining politics. “People keep talking about my friendship with certain individuals in a particular party (Congress). But I’ve known Rajeev Shukla from before he was a part of the Congress. And I know Soniaji, Rahul and Priyanka just as I know people from other walks of life.” In fact, says Shah Rukh, after the political controversy created by the Shiv Sena over what he says was an innocuous statement about the spirit of sportsmanship Shah Rukh has resolved to remain as far removed from politics and politicians as possible.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who turned 45 Sunday, has an assorted wish list on his birthday -- he wants to learn a couple of languages, spend time with family and learn cooking from his "aami". "I am looking forward to spending time with my family and mom. My kids will be coming anytime. No special celebration, just being with the family," Aamir told reporters after cutting the cake at his residence in Pali Hill  with six-year-old Manvi, who had come with her journalist mother. Even though he had no plans for celebration, when visitors poured in, he obliged. Before cutting the cake, Aamir met his fans who had come with gifts and bouquets to wish him on his birthday."This year I am looking forward to spending lot more time with my family, with my children, my mom and Kiran. Professionally, I have three films up for release this year 'Peepli Live', 'Delhi Belly' and 'Dhobi Ghat'," he said. "I have to learn a couple of things. I want to learn two languages. One is Marathi, which I can read and write but can't speak and the other is Urdu, which I can speak but can't read and write. I also want to learn swimming," Aamir said.
