It’s marital bliss for Ayesha Takia, but that doesn’t stop her from meeting her mother. Akshay Kumar maintains that women are stronger than men when it comes to mental strength and says he chose Twinkle as his life partner because she has the courage to "kick" people in the "butt". "I didn't fall in love with my wife because she could dance around a tree. I fell for her strength as an independent woman. She kicked butt at school and she could do it now if she wanted. The success of "Kaminey" has catapulted him into the big league, but actor Shahid Kapoor says he sat at home for six months without any work after his box office hit "Vivaah" in 2006. "The most difficult phase was after 'Vivaah' was a super hit. I was at home for six months without work. I got some 60 film offers but none inspired me, " Shahid told choreographer-director Farah Khan on STAR Plus' chat show "Tere Mere Beach Mein". We hear that basking in the success of his blockbuster, the actor has allegedly demanded 15 crores from ace filmmaker Subhash Ghai. Pakistani actress Meera is seeking protection from the Punjab Government, following a recent “terrorists” attack on her house. The star said that she was under constant threat from a special group of terrorists under the ringleader namely Attiqur Rehman, her former business partner. “The terrorists attacked my house aiming to abduct and kill me,” the Nation quoted her saying at her DHA residence.

Laugh riot "Quick Gun Murugun - Misadventures of an Indian Cowboy" about a vegetarian superhero might not have got an overwhelming response at the the Indian box office, but director Shashanka Ghosh is not complaining as the film has created a buzz in the international festival circuit.  The film has been showcased at film festivals in Athens, Durban, London, Florence, Los Angeles, New York and Washington.  The film revolves around Quick Gun's fight with arch villain Rice Plate Reddy who wants to convert the whole world non- vegetarian. It stars well-known Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad in the lead role along with Rambha.
