Unlike many bollywood actresses who are oftaccompanied by their mothers on the sets o Asin is often always accompanied by her father on the sets of the film. Asin’s father Joseph Thottumkal better known as JT is an exception. He tags along wherever the Ghajini actress goes, including award functions and product launches. Though JT was managing his own business, as soon as his daughter shot to stardom, he decided to let go of his entrepreneurship to manage his daughter’s work. He even accompanies her to all her foreign shoots and the latest is that he has also shifted based to Mumbai to be with her. Sources reveals that now when Asin is shooting for her forthcoming venture Vipul Shah’s London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, JT was always around advising his daughter. This did not go down too well with Salman and he was often irked by the father’s interference. Yet Salman tried being courteous to him. There was a buzz that Salman has taken a liking to his London Dreams co-star and has been showering her with gifts. Naturally since Asin’s father is constantly by his daughter’s side Salman must be finding it a little difficult to be friendly to her.

If all goes well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will come face to face on July 3. The clash is purely professional, what with their respective films - SRK's DULHA MIL GAYA and Salman's WANTED - hitting the screens on that Friday. DULHA MIL GAYA producer Viveck Vaswani is eyeing 3rd July because "July 4 is Independence Day in America and Shah Rukh enjoys a massive following there. I would like to capitalize on the Independence Day weekend, " Viveck tells me. Which means DULHA MIL GAYA will clash with Salman Khan's WANTED. "If Boney Kapoor says he's committed for 3rd July and requests me to shift my film to another week, I will do so. But so far there haven't been any talks, " Viveck clarifies.
