Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Hollywood film Pink Panther 2 which came to India but Ash wasn’t the lead actress in it. So how long will fans of her Bollywood films have to wait to see the beauty set the screen on fire again? Ash had two releases in 2008: Jodhaa Akbar and Sarkar Raj. Both the films did well at the box office and Ash’s performance was appreciated in both.  Ash is currently in Delhi where she received India’s most prestigious awards premiere will return to Mumbai after some days to resume filming for Vipul Shah’s Action Replay. But before that she was shooting with her hubby for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan which is set to release at the end of 2009 and is most likely going to be Ash’s next Hindi release after Sarkar Raj. Ash is also shooting for the Tamil version of the film, Ashokavanam, which will release at the same time as Raavan. Both the films have been shot in the interiors of South India. After Raavan and Ashokavanam, Ash’s next release is Shankar’s sci-fi special-effects laden thriller Endhiran with Rajnikanth.  The film has been shot in the exotic locales of Brazil and Goa in India. Ash will be seen in colorful costumes in this film. The plot of the film revolves around Ash and Rajnikanth.The twist in the story is that Rajnikanth invents a robot called Endhiran who also falls in love with Ash. The film will release on April 2010 and after that Vipul Shah’s Action Replay with Akshay Kumar is also on the pipeline. The release date of that film is not yet out.

The Samajwadi Party appointed actor Sanjay Dutt as its national general secretary. Dutt, who was refused permission by the Supreme Court to contest the elections because of his conviction under the Arms Act, said: "Mein dil se kam karoonga aur sach ke liye kam karoonga (I will work with my heart and for the truth)." Also a day after the Supreme Court disallowed him from contesting elections because of his conviction in a criminal case, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt  alleged that a senior Congress minister had threatened him if he did not join that party.In an interview to television channel NDTV, Dutt said he had tapes of the conversation he had with the minister who threatened him that court cases would go against him if he did not join the Congress.Refusing to identify the minister, Dutt said: "I did a sting operation on the minister. I wore a taping device to expose the minister. I did a sting operation against a union minister. I did the sting operation to expose the bias of the minister. The minister told me (the) verdict would go against me if I contested for SP (Samajwadi Party)," Dutt told the channel.

Adnan Sami is in the midst of a raging controversy. His personal life is out in the public domain. But the troubled marriage hasn't spilled over to his personal life. "I am least affected by the turmoil. It hasn't affected me, " said Adnan.  "No one's perfect. I am not perfect either, " Adnan admits, "I wish we would've sorted out the misunderstandings like mature people and parted ways without making it public. Who wants to wash dirty linen in public?"

The shapely actress cum singer Sophie Chaudhary can be quiet a prankster on her sets if she decides to. She has been using her innocent looks to fool her co-stars nowadays on her film's sets.Revealing about her pranks on her co-star of new release Aa Dekhen Zara, Sophie says , "I made a bakra out of Neil Nitin Mukesh. I had gone to Bengaluru recently for promoting Aa Dekhen Zara. While we were eating dinner the food turned out too spicy for Neil. He really hates spicy food. I innocently told him to have the ‘dal’ which I was eating as it was bland. He took one bite and he was on fire The ‘dal’ was the spiciest dish on the menu The poor guy had to walk around with flushed cheeks and a red mouth for hours” During the shooting of Alibaug, Sophie's fooled her co-star Sudhanshu Pandey as well. She recalls, “While shooting for Alibaug, I decided to make a ‘bakra’ out of my costar Sudhanshu Pandey.I told him that he was being really rude and offensive and I suddenly started crying at the breakfast table and then ran off to hide in the toilet. The poor guy must have apologized a thousand times and spent the whole day being extra nice until I told him it was a prank. He spent the next two weeks trying to get back at me.”

Shreyas Talpade  is going to be on a fitness regime for two weeks while he is doing a marathon shoot of Hook Ya Crook at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. John  Abraham has set up a gym at the hotel they are staying at and has persuaded Shreyas, along with Kay Kay Menon, Sharad Kapoor and Krushna Abhisekh to sweat it out every evening after pack up. Also, Shreyas would be on a stringent dietary regime chalked out by John; so that means keeping a check on what he eats and when.
