Sanjiv, son of our Ram/Nishi Nehra wed Manpreet Kaur on November 1, 08 in Fairfax, Virginia.  Wedding was performed according to our Ariya Smazic Vedic rituals.  Over 450 guests attended the marriage.  It was a fabulous wedding set up in a the warmth & affection of both sets of parents made it a very memorable & special event for all.  The fabulous wedding arrangements made this quite the wedding of the decade.

Later on November 15 08 a reception was held in their home state Rhode Island  Over 150 guests enjoyed scrumptious feast & danced to the Bhangra music into the wee hrs.  Shri Ram & Shrimati  Nishi Ji asked their guests in lieu of gifts to donate to Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation.  Over $5,000.00 was received as "Shagun" for Ekal at this auspicious occasion.

Ram and Nishi  Nehra's dedication to the cause of bringing education to the Adivasi children in India is well known. For years they have worked in the New England area to raise money for this very worthy cause.

It was indeed touching to see that while they wedding guests were treat royally the Nehra's ensured that their most important family members, the Adivasi children were remembered  and a special gift given to them on the occasion of the wedding.
