April 4 and 5, 2009, the Peabody Essex Museum will celebrate the art and culture of India with an annual two-day festival. The museum’s Atrium will come alive with the sounds of the sitar and tablas, the aroma of South Asian cuisine and the color and vitality of Indian music and dance. Internationally acclaimed artists, writers and political thinkers will herald the opening of a new exhibition of modern Indian art.

Submit a festival name for consideration at http://pem.org/marketing/indianfestival/ and you will automatically be entered for a chance to win a museum membership and a $50 gift certificate to the museum’s award-winning shop.
