NEAT To Stage 'The Homecoming'

NEAT, (New England Enterprise for Art & Theater), is a Boston based US non-profit organization. The objective of NEAT is to enhance, promote and perpetuate the national heritage of Asian-American in the Boston area through cultural, educational, and charitable means and so contribute to the greater Boston community. NEAT in its current state, is essentially an Association of Theatre Enthusiasts who wish to Introduce, Present and Promote Asian Theatre and / or other Cultural Flavors of Asia to the Audiences in the Greater Boston Area, primarily for the Charitable Causes. In our effort to reach all audiences, NEAT will stage plays in English.
 
As its debut venture, NEAT will stage “The Home Coming” a play based on “The Return” by Sudipta Bhawmik. In this play, Sukomal, an NRI returns to India from the United States and discovers the reality surrounding his homecoming. The debut program will also include a dance recital by renowned classical dancer Mouli Pal. Mouli is an exponent of Odissi, a classical dance form originating from the temples of Orissa in India.
