The latest bit of rumor ton April Fool's Day is that Kareena Kapoor  and Saif Ali Khan [Images] plan to tie the nuptial knot  after their film, Tashan, releases on April 25. Kareena is quoted as having told Zee News that she will get married 'very soon,' adding, 'So maybe, post the release of Tashan this month, you all can see us wedded.' Incidentally, it was on the sets of Tashan that the two fell in love, and they have been inseparable ever since. To prove this Saif even got her name tattooed on his arm.The actress also told Zee News that there was nothing wrong with getting married at the peak of her career, especially after the success of Jab We Met. 'I didn't say I'd stop working after marriage,' she is quoted to have told Zee News. "Today, I've already reached the Rs 3.5 crore package, and I hope to work and earn more in the coming years.'

While football star Baichung Bhutia has refused to carry the torch in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics, two movie stars have decided to go ahead with the opportunity to carry the flame in New Delhi on April 17. Unlike the sportsman who showed his support for the Tibetans and their ongoing turmoil in Tibet by refusing to carry the torch, Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan Aamir are all set for the event. Defending his decision, Aamir, in his blog, said that though he sympathized with Tibetans' plight, the Olympics are not a Chinese event.

With two bumper hits, Vidya Balan's career is going great guns. Lots of commercial successes!  Plenty to smile about! "I was very happy about all my five releases in 2007, though some of them didn't do well. From the very start when Dada (Pradeep Sarkar) showed so much faith in me by giving me Parineeta the industry has made a substantial space for me. By the grace of God, there're lots of interesting roles happening. I'm in the process of signing some more. Since I came to cinema my criteria for signing a role remains unchanged. I've never been in a hurry to get anywhere. Things are happening at a pace I'm enjoying. And I'm not insecure. Jo hoga achcha hi hoga." Unlike Preity Zinta Vidya has made no pledge to stay away from actors in her personal life."Some people are doctors, others are actors. My companion can be from any walk of life. If he's an actor we can both carry our own mirrors to the sets and be narcissistic individually. And we can have mirrors all over the house. Instead of looking into each other's eyes we can look into the mirrors,"  says Vidya.

After a 8-month sabbatical the irrepressible David Dhawan is back in the swing of things. Says the rejuvenated director, "The layoff has done me good. I needed the break from direction, yaar! It's not as if I was sitting idle at home. I was a judge on a dance show. That, I enjoyed thoroughly. I was finalizing the scripts for my next two films and spending time with my family." He intends to direct two films this year. "The first would be for my friend Vashu Bhagnani with my dear friend Govinda in the lead. It'll be an out-and-out David-Govinda dhamaka, the kind audiences will expect from us. This would be my sixth film with Vashu, can you believe it? We still continue to believe in each other! We're looking for a dhamaal title for this film. But my next Hook Ya Crook written by Rensil d'Silva is a complete departure from everything I've done so far." David's film for Vashu pairs Govinda with Lara Dutta once again after Ravi Chopra's Pappu Pass Ho Gaya. The film will also star Riteish Deshmukh. While the Vashu project takes him into familiar territory David has decided on a completely new team for Hook Ya Crook.

Vivek Oberoi, the actor who won critical acclaim for his performances in films like 'Company', 'Saathiya', 'Kisna', 'Dum', 'Masti', 'Yuva', 'Kaal', 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na', 'Omkara' and 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' has now bagged a plum role in Karan Johar's untitled home production to be directed by Rensil D'Silva, where he will share screen space with stalwarts, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. In addition to this, Vivek now gears up for the release of Popcorn Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Limited's 'Mission Istanbul' directed by Apoorva Lakhia, also starring Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan and Shriya Saran. As the actor is all set to resurrect his career and aim higher in Bollywood, the actor has appointed celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar's PR agency Dale Bhagwagar Media Group for his image management and media works. Accepting this offer, the agency's spear-head, Dale Bhagwagar states, "Vivek is at an interesting and challenging stage of his career where he is being offered very meaty roles. It's going to be exciting for us to subtly brand him, giving a new perspective to his stardom".
