Leader Bank Opens Fourth Branch In Belmont

Leader Bank opened its fourth branch at 363 Pleasant Street in Belmont, MA on February 20, 2008 with State Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill as the guest of honor in the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Sushil K. Tuli, President of Leader Bank is very excited about the future of Leader Bank which has grown to over $200M in assets since the opening of its first branch five and a half years ago.

“Leader Bank is a local community bank and I strongly believe that Massachusetts State money should stay within the State. I look forward to working with community and family owned banks,” said Cahill, who was responsible for opening up the bidding for State deposits to small community banks. According to Tuli, “Under Cahill’s leadership, the State has returned over $4B of lottery money to cities and towns and the pension fund has increased by over 100%.”
