Director Shyam Benegal now wants to make a big budget film on the life of Gautam Buddha and wants Hrithik Roshan to play the lead. Benegal thinks Hrithik Roshan is perfectly suited to play the role of Buddha because the actor’s face has a calm serenity. Benegal has already approached Hrithik with an offer for the role and the actor has expressed interest in the project and has asked for its script. Benegal and his team of writers are now putting the script together. Buddhist texts and biographies of Buddha by various historians are being used as reference material for the script, which is reportedly being written by Atul Tiwari.

According to industry sources, Akshay Kumar is the latest B-town biggie to have turned web-savvy and joined the growing Facebook community. It seems his facebook id is Raju Bhatia (Akshay's real name is Rajiv Bhatia) and a poster image of his latest comic blockbuster, 'Welcome' is his display picture. The profile appears to have been created post the successful release of 'Welcome', which has been his biggest overseas opener to date.

Adnan Sami and Bhushan Kumar, after the success of 'Tera Chehra' and his last album 'Kisi Din' have joined hands once again to come out with a brand new album.  The album titled "Best Friends" was released by T-Series on 27th Dec 2007, and promises to show an even slimmer and different look of Adnan's.  Choreographer Remo has directed the song 'Assalamwalekum' while Sameer has provided the lyrics

In 2007 Punjab seemed to be the new hot spot for Bollywood shootings. The Deols shot a major portion of their family saga Apne in Punjab. So did Kareena and Shahid Kapoor for Jab We Met. And lately Preity Zinta was with Salman Khan in Punjab to shoot for Samir Karnik's Heroes.   Preity was back in Punjab for a second shoot in 2007, under elaborate security. After a grueling month-long schedule of their first Punjabi film Heaven On Earth director Deepa Mehta and actor Preity Zinta quietly landed in India on Wednesday night for a 2-day shooting of the film in Chandigarh… under tight security provisions since the crowds of fans in Punjab are known to get hyper-excited at the sight of their favourite stars.

Here are trailers of few movies:
