The Shahid Kapur-Kareena Kapoor duo has come together in “Jab We Met” a light hearted comedy. In the big media buzz over Om Shanti Om and Sawaariya one could easily missed  the music of Jab we Met.. and that would have been a shame for Pritam has a delivered a fine track featuring many a memorable tunes.
The track opens with Mauja Hi Mauja. And what an opening it is!  Catchy tune and rhythmic beats, very energetic and perfect for dance floors , the presentation my Mika is bound to make a lasting impression. It has ‘bhangra’ beats mixed in with Punjabi western arrangements. The remix,  while not as powerful as the original , cannot be ignored and makes for a wonderful last track.
Just as you put on your dancing shoes the track shifts gear and goes onto a emotion laden soft number – “Tum Se hi”. Irsad Kamil’s poetry is beautiful and Mohit Chauhan does full justice to this wonderful song that is soothing. The serene "Tum Se hi" has a starting female voice and glides smoothly into the voice of Mohit Chauhan. This number is arguably one of Pritam’s finest tracks.
Shreya Ghosal sings Yeh Ishq Hai in a very youthful voice. This song features strong orchestration.  Full of pep  this song has mass appeal.. As one heard the composition one wondered if this was more of a Sunidhi Chauhan or an Alisha Chinoy song. Would they have had better results?  The remix version is racy with thumping rave beats and feels like a different song altogether.  We have yet another Bhangara number in “Nagada Nagada Nagad Baja”. Sonu Nigam renders this with high energy. While there is nothing special to the song, expect it to become a DJ favorite.

Shaan croons a lovable melodic number “Aao Milo Chalo” A track about two youngsters on a journey together and enjoying every moment of the journey ahead, it also has a surprise thrown in when Ustad Sultan Khan makes a brief appearance for an 'aalaap'. 'Aao Milo', just like 'Tum Se' has an immense ear pleasing value to it that adds on to the collection of your car favorites for a long ride.

After Ustad Sultan Khan we have Ustad Rashid Khan who gives a beautiful rendition of “Aaoge Jab Tum” The song is put to tune form Sandesh Shandilya . A melodious track with beautiful poetry by Irshad Kamil

Track ends with a scintillating instrumental extravaganza. An oriental touch to the sound of flute which plays throughout the musical piece makes you remember 'My Heart Will Go On' [Titanic]. Also coming together of chorus and an extensive orchestra creates a grand impact.

Despite that lack of publicity expect this work by Pritam to become quite a chartbuster.
