Aishwarya celebrated her birthday in Agra on November 1 with her family and  was on top of the world. "My birthday in Agra was just tooooooo special. Someone up there has answered all my prayers,” says Aishwarya. What does she want for her birthday, "Just blessings and good wishes. Apart from that God has given me everything."

Kareena and Shahid find themselves in the middle of another controversy, and they have nothing to do with it. A struggling scriptwriter, Ankit Raaj, claims that 'Jab We Met' is his script, and that director Imtiaz Ali has lifted it."I wrote a script of the movie 'Safar' two years ago, and registered it. I have a copy of the registration and of the copyright. I will produce these whenever they are required," says Ankit. He thinks it was stolen from one of the many production houses he sent it to. The characters that Kareena and Shahid play are also his creations, he says. He also adds that he is very hurt about the whole thing, and that he does not want any monetary compensation, only justice. Therefore, he has filed a case against the production house, Asthavinayak. A representative of the production house says, "We are very experienced and we do not need anybody else's script."

Vinod Khanna will now don the avatar of a mentor in producer Anjum Rizvi's latest musical 'Fast Forward'. And here he will be seen mentoring youngsters who are competing to showcase their dancing skills. Reportedly Khanna has lost oodles of weight to play the role. Producer Anjum Rizvi who has produced films 'Ahista Ahista' and 'Charas' and also completed a songless thriller 'Wednesday' with Naseeruddin Shah and Deepal Shaw has cast new actors like Rehan Khan, UK- based Sabina Sheema, Akshay Kapur, Bhavna Pani and Siddhant Karnik to get mentored by Khanna in the film. Since it is an out and out dance film , the young cast has been religiously rehearsing for the past three months. The film will have Sonia Jaffer, Mahesh Manjrekar's partner in the last season of 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa' choreographing all the dances in it.

Odd casting shuffling seems the order of the day. Just when we were getting over Tabu being replaced by Mallika Sherawat in Sanjay Chhel's film Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam we now have Suniel Shetty being replaced by Sonu Sood in Anees Bazmi's Singh Is King.Explains producer Vipul Shah, "Suniel had a serious dates problem. He's busy producing Mission Istanbul and the dates of my film were clashing with his. Being a producer myself now I know how difficult it is to orchestrate a film as big as Mission Istanbul. I'll work with him in my next film. But this time he's required more urgently for his own film."Suniel also goes with the dates theory but expands on the reason for his opting out. "Earlier the role had a lot of action in it. And that excited me. Now the role is very different." Interestingly Akshay Kumar would be doing a lot of intricate fight sequences in Singh Is King.

Though she has expressed displeasure about the plethora and quality of music contests on television, the Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar has reluctantly agreed to be present at the grand finale of Voice Of India to be held on 24 November. The show's producer-director Gajendra Singh couldn't contain his excitement. "She has agreed to give the winner the trophy. It took a lot of persuasion, a lot of perserverance. But then it's worth it.
