Gurjar of  New England completes 30 years of community servicein 2007. The success would not have been possible without the support of members/patrons and sponsors. To celebrate the anniversary, Gurjar has planned various events throughout the year.

The first event is a Gujrati play HAVEY TO MAANI JAAV a story of joint family who live and laugh together.
 
HAVEY TO MAANI JAAV is a story of how a joint family can survive together in the 21st century. As the proverb goes, ‘variety is the spice of life’ and as all the five fingers are not the same, similarly in a family there are people with different mind-sets and they all complement each other. IS it important to look after the household or to go out and work that’s the question, the play attempts to answer.

The story evolves around a couple who are out to prove their supremacy and thus dividing the family in two teams each trying to out do the other in turn creating funny situations.

They attempt role reversals and there emerge families within a family, they both challenge each other for a role reversal and this leads to hilarious situations.. who triumphs in the end? Is answered by the play in its climax...

Avanter in association with GURJAR has brought you the superhits like Lali-Leela and Bas Kar Bakula last year and continue the tradition by presenting yet another family comedy to be enjoyed by all ages. and how can one forget the rib-tickling comedy Shaadi@Barbaadi which tackled a similar theme.

So plan your night out on March 30, 2007 and go to Billerica High School 35, River Street in Billerica. Mysore Veggie of Lowell will be selling delicious dinner and fast food at the venue starting 7:30 pm.
