All of Karan Johar's dream guests on the second season of his talk show have come through. Well, almost! Saif Ali Khan didn't show up with his lady love Rosa for the recording of Koffee With Karan. He instead brought sister Soha along. That suited the Channel's purposes fine. The Khan siblings are becoming quite a high-profile public duo.According to sources Karan has already shot 8 major episodes of the chat fest. These include a directors' special shot on 16 January which features Raj Kumar Hirani, Rakesh Roshan, Rakeysh Mehra and Kunal Kohli. And if you were waiting to see John and Bipasha together on television after their celebrity appearance on Big B's KBC, Karan is going to make your wish come true. The Bipasha-John episode apparently has the couple in a candid mood. Also in the cans is an episode featuring Hrithik Roshan with Priyanka Chopra. The last time Karan had got them on the show in different permutations. "It's too premature to comment on my guest list. But yes, the endeavour is to bring on the stars like never before. I don't want anyone to say that this season's Koffee With Karan looks like a repetition of the last season. Even when I bring on non-film folks I want to make sure my audience isn't robbed of its glamour quotient, " says Karan.

Tabu was last seen as a lead heroine in 'Maqbool' and 'Meenaxi', both of which came in the first half of 2004. Since then, she has relatively been on a hiatus with one off performances like 'Silsillay' [2006] and 'Fanaa' [2006]. With 'Cheeni Kum', she would be back in a role of substance being paired opposite none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Though the former is a multistarrer with Big B, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Jimmy Shergill and Boman Irani filling in for the men power, with Tara Rum Pum Saif goes solo in a project that is produced by none other than Yash Raj Films. Between 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard' [February 16] and 'Tara Rum Pum' [April 27], there are a dozen odd other films lined up for release but none match the budget and grandeur of these two films. Who's bigger in Bollywood, icon Amitabh Bachchan or younger rival Shah Rukh Khan? The two movie stars have been slinging quotes back and forth ever since Khan said recently that the older legend's time was up. "I am sexy, smart and young. That was his century; this is mine," Khan told the Press Trust of India. "Let's see what happens to (Khan) after 35 years," Bachchan retorted in Sunday's PTI. He dismissed talk of any rivalry. ``Whatever he says is correct. I am old and he is young, and I agree he is smart and sexy," Bachchan said before going on to question Khan's future. Affectionately called the "Big B”.  Khan recently replaced Bachchan as host of India's most popular TV program, Kaun Banega Crorepati – a game show based on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Early ratings appear to indicate the elder superstar had a bigger following.

Nayyar, who composed some of Bollywood's most memorable tunes of the 1950s and 60s, died on Sunday, January 28, 2007  after a heart attack at his home outside Mumbai, a news agency reported. Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt described Nayyar as "an audacious man who was a king in his time." Nayyar, who always dressed in white and was never seen without his distinctive black felt hat, was born in Lahore in what is now Pakistan in 1926. He got his first break in 1949 when he was appointed music director on "Kaneez" (Junior), but recognition came with 1950s movies like "Mr. and Mrs. 55" and "CID."
