Shankar-Ehasaan-Loy produce a hit right from the get go! This number rendered by Adnan Sami has a lot of country music and Carribean music elements in it.  After “Meter Down”, Adan Sami has yet another chart topper in Dil Kya Kare.

On the heels of their all time hit number “Kajra Re” comes “Saiyaan Re”  where Shankar Mahadevan gets the opportunities to use his classical music talents to render some Raag Alaaps and Taans.   It is essentially a Qawwali with a mix of pop, classical and folk music thrown in . The female vocalist, Shilpa Rao does a fine job singing in a sexy , raunchy style while Loy drops in some fun rap lyrics that would appeal to the young and the restless! While it is hard to ever top Kajra Re “Saiyaan Re” may be something that will make a small dent on the charts.

Nihira Joshi, who was a finalist in Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma” show, joins its host Shaan to sing “Mera Dil”. It is yet another love song but Shaan does a fabulous job and perhaps is the reason why you will enjoy the song. The track is fast paced but does not have something original that will strike out.

Saalam-e-ishq has been the track that has been used on the film’s promotional. This track is very unique where Shankar-Eshan-Loy have used a Bagpiper and rather new sounding Bhangara beats. This tribute to love is quite delightful and unique and perhaps could add to their already long hit parade.  The finest from the playback world including Sonu Nigam, Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshal, Sadhna Sargam and Shankar Mahadevan have lend their voices to the song and this is song that is here to stay.

Tenu Leke is a perfect song that can be played at Baraats. Sonu Nigam joins Mahalakshmi Iyer and the signature tune of the previous number is interjected.  Following this is a lounge remix of a Geeta Dutt golden oldie “Babuji Dheere Chalna” . Nihira Joshi has a tough job to do as she tries to recreate the magic of the legendary Geeta Dutt. She does a fine job and remix lovers will enjoy this track.
.
The album ends with “Ya Rabba” where Kailash Kher sings a song that talks about divinity, hope, love and sacrifice.  The song is done in the Sufi style and the theme of the song and music work well together.

This album does promise to increase the already long hit parade of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and it certainly is a feather in their cap!
