‘Kabeer’ is a Musical Mono Act Play that depicts the exciting life story of the great reformist, poet and philosopher KABEER. With 45 song sequences, this two hour play unfolds the making of this revolutionary social reformer who 600 years ago challenged the deep rooted social evil ailing the society. The play truly reflects the influence of great saints like Guru Ramanand, Raidas and Sheikh Fareed on Kabeer. The touching enactment of Kabeer’s marriage with Loyee, his meeting with Sikandar Shah Lodhi and other incidents underline Shekhar’s sterling performance. Sung in rich voice and supported by melodious music, Kabeer’s poems, appropriately woven into the play, tenderly touch our soul. Mesmerized audiences will rediscover Kabeer’s message of love, peace and religious harmony: a message that binds us together neutralizing religious fanatism.
