Swami Vivekanada Camp - A Twenty Year Tradition

Set in the beautiful, well equipped facilities that are owned/maintained by Girl Scouts of America, the Swami Vivekananda camp in a one week camp that teaches children about their Indian heritage in a fun atmosphere. Activities include, exercises, yoga, classes on Hindu philosophy and practices, crafts and skills (ranging from mehendi to auto maintenance depending on the age group), science experiments. Swimming, canoeing, eastern and western games (e.g. Kho, Volleyball), cultural programs put on by campers (dance/drama, music etc.), campfire, discussions with eminent people from the community also are part ot the camp.

The camp is available to Youth ages 8-18. Younger children can also attend the camp with their parents.
