"Kadhalikka Neramundu," written by Chithralaya Sriram, is one of the successful plays of Y.G. Mahendra's UAA.

When it was staged in Chennai the troupe members were surprised to see Rajnikant with his family.

He enjoyed the play and appreciated the UAA members, including Y.G.Mahendra, for their dedication to the stage. When one of the troupe members asked which scene he liked most, Rajnikant smiled and said "in which scene did you not make me smile?"

The second surprise was a letter addressed to Y.G. Mahendra next day in which the superstar and his wife stated that "they thoroughly enjoyed the hilarious play. The performance of all members was truly amazing and kept us throughout in the same mood of laughter. Our best wishes to the entire unit and to Mahendra for his dedication to stage and theatre". Clearly the UAA artistes were truly overwhelmed.
