PRAKRATI KA AGHAAT Mumbai Ki Barsaat Tandav Dikha Rahi Hai Sare Shaher Ko Pani Mein Duba Rahi Hai Pani Zoro Se Baras Raha Hai Hawa Tezi Se Chal Rahi Hai Badal Zameen Pe Utar Aye Hai Zindagi Belagaam Chal Rahi Hai Railgadiya Rukk Gayi Hai Sadke Jam Ho Gayi Hai Phone Lines Kharaab Ho Gayi Hai Airlines Ground Ho Gayi Hai Yeh Prakrati Ka Aghaat Hai Subko Sahena Pad Raha Hai Koi Rasta Dikh Nahi Raha Hai Kewal Prarthna Hi Rasta Hai Praying for the SUNSHINE, Rainful regards, Ashok Shrivastav Accompanying note from Ashok Shrivastav describing the situation.. Mumbai is under water. It started raining CATS & DOGS at 1pm yesterday ( Tuesday, July 26 ). Little later it was raining COWS & BUFFALOS. Soon after it was raining CAMELS & ELEPHANTS. Eelctricity
went off in our area by 5 pm. The intensity of rain was so much
that visibility came down to less than 100 Mtrs. We felt that
the clouds were touching the ground (the whole
environment looked white).
Our MTNL Phone had tone, but it stopped connecting with most of the
Phones. I got Mumbai samachar from Delhi. A friend of mine called me
from Delhi on my mobile & he gave me all the news about the Havoc
of Mumbai Rains, which he was watching on TV (we couldn't watch TV in
Mumbai as we had no electricity). Apne Broadband
Ka Band Bujj Gaya. This morning when I called their office, the
lady on line told me almost weepingly that she was sitting in the dark
(no Electricity), most of the employees had not come (she herself never
went home last night) & she had no clue as to when the Broadband
Service will be restored.
No newspaper today. No milk today. No domestic help today. Electricity has come back this morning & we are awed by the TV NEWS. traffics totally jammed on Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway & many many other major roads. Airlines are grounded. Railway tracks are submerged in water. It is like WATER WATER EVERYWHERE, NOT A DROP TO DRINK.
