Allah-Purmatma-God-Jehovah-Mungu

I have traveled far and wide stopping from place to place
I have knocked on so many doors just to seek your face
I have awakened from deep sleep gazing in the dark of the night
I have pursued this path just to have you in my sight

Bronzed from base metal to all that is pure
Each life in search of knowledge that is sure
Desire for virtue has beaconed me to your light
I pray that you always keep me in your sight

I have heard your name spoken in rhyme and song
I have responded to the sound of your disciple's gong
I have held my brow to the bosom of the earth
I have subjugated to you in life and each rebirth

The sage speaks that you hold the reins of life
You protect all from misery and strife
I have heard your name in many tongues
I have sung your song with every breadth of my lungs

I remember not that I have seen you yet
In my time of need was it you that I met?
When all was lost and nowhere to go
Was it you who delivered me from my foe?

-Dedicated to victims of genocide
