From the Lokvani Family

Lokvani thanks the community immensely for the support shown to us as we try to deal with the terrible tragedy of losing one of the finest members of the Lokvani family, Chitra Parayath. Lokvani was Chitra's dream. We, the members of the Lokvani team,  promise to work very hard to keep Chitra's dream alive. We will try to take Lokvani to the heights that she would have liked to scale.

From the Muralidharan Family

We thank the Lokvani team and the wider Lokvani community for the messages of solidarity in a moment of deep sorrow. For us, Vinod’s surviving parent, his siblings and their spouses, Chitra was more than a daughter-, or sister-in-law. For her nephews and nieces, she was more than a favourite auntie who never failed to make them laugh. For all of us, Chitra was a friend held dearer than most others we have known. Indeed, in all our cumulative years we have not known anybody who has touched the lives of so many with quite the same sense of spontaneity, warmth and cheer. Very few have come away from a first meeting with her without being struck by the ebullience of her personality and her infectious good humour. She is deeply missed and yet in this moment of desolation, we find solace in her unvanquished spirit. Her children have with their calm and courage through these days of deep sadness, been an example to all. And for Vinod, Sidharth and Nivedita, the memories that will never die, should be a source of immense strength and sustenance as the years pass.
