Samar Khan (ex journalist) directs ‘Kuch meeth Ho Jaaye’, a Shemaroo production, starring Arshad Warsi and Mahima Choudhary with music by Himesh Himesh Reshammiya.

The album is very easy on the ears, from the first track to the last one, each has something good going for it.

Sammer’s lyrics in ‘Bhool jayenge hum saari duniya ke gham, Ek pal, Do Ghadhi, Tum milo to Sanam‘ is sung efficiently by Udit and Shreya. Granted it is a simple, romantic ballad and will bestow on the listener a distinct feeling of déjà vu!

Sonu Nigam. Shreya and Jayesh Gandhi render the title song ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’.

Another pleasant song with interesting musical instrumentation, this one is already enjoying plenty of radio time back home.

The same song is offered on the album again by SaReGaMa finalist Arpita Mukherjee who makes her debut as a playback singer with this solo version of ' Kuch Meetha Ho Jaayega '

Her voice is sweet and fresh sounding, very much like another SaReGaMa finalist, Shreya Gosal!

Kumar Ganjawala and Sunidhi sound great in ‘O Jaana Tenu Rab da Vaasta’, a fast paced number, reminiscent of Himesh’s ‘O Jaana’ from the film Tere Naam.

Lagne Lage ho tum kitne pyaare, a playful love song by Sonu Nigam and Alka is soothing and pleasant to the ear, melody makes a comeback with this tune!

The best track on the album is ‘Aane Do’, a classical Thumri by the very talented, divine Dr. Shoma Ghosh. ‘Aane do’ is exquisitely composed and rendered in a light classical style that will enjoy universal appeal.

One even comes to enjoy the hipper version of the track 'Aane Do Royal Stag Mega Mix'

Which pulls some nice surprises along the way. The new sensation Suzanne (of ‘Kaal fame), Jayesh Gandhi and Dr. Shoma share the mike with her.

Full marks to Reshammiya for this surprisingly melodious album!
