Get ready to clap, sing, sway, and dance! On November 7th , bhajans are getting an exciting musical makeover at the Boston Sri Kalikambal Shiva Temple in Bellingham, Massachusetts. Bhakti Bhajan Beats promises an electrifying evening where the soulful spirit of devotional music meets the infectious rhythms of Western drums, guitar, keyboard, harmonium, and traditional Indian percussion.

Forget the usual sit-back-and-listen format! Here, the audience is part of the performance. Sing along to beloved bhajans, clap to the beats, move to the music, and let devotion take over the dance floor!

Presented as part of the temple's Mandalabhishekam and Diwali celebrations under BSKST Tharunalayam, the program will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The musical ensemble features Rajan Narayanaswamy on Western drums, Sudhir Srinivasan on guitar, and Sreeam on keyboard, complemented by Gaurish Chandrashekhar on traditional percussion and Subhiksha on harmonium.

The devotional vocals will be led by Siva Santhakrishnan, Paddy Subramanium, Sudha Kumar, and Rama Vedula. Ranjani Saigal will be the narrator for the evening, adding context and connecting the musical selections with their devotional significance.

The idea is simple: bring generations together through the universal language of music and the shared joy of bhakti. Whether you are a seasoned bhajan singer or someone who simply loves music, you are invited to join in!

The event is a temple fundraiser, and the organizers encourage the community to participate enthusiastically and contribute generously.
