Ancient Indian Epic Comes Alive on Stage: "Ramleela Reimagined" at Regis College

This October, audiences across Greater Boston are invited to experience the magic of the Indian epic Ramayana through Ramleela Reimagined, a vibrant theatrical production presented by Hub of Myths—a Weston-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing timeless stories from world mythology to life.

Scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Regis College in Weston, the production offers a fresh, engaging interpretation of the Ramayana. Performed entirely in English, the play welcomes audiences of all backgrounds and generations to discover a story rich in adventure, courage, love, loyalty, and the timeless triumph of good over evil.

What makes Ramleela Reimagined especially compelling is its imaginative storytelling approach. The epic unfolds through conversations between grandparents and grandchildren, connecting ancient traditions with contemporary perspectives and demonstrating how stories passed down through generations continue to inspire and unite us.

Founded in 2025 by Anita Varma, Bhanu Srinivasan, and Navjot Singh, Hub of Myths seeks to build cultural understanding and intergenerational connections through community theater. Following an enthusiastic audience response to its inaugural production in Newton last year, the group is bringing the performance to a larger stage at Regis College.

More than a theatrical presentation, Ramleela Reimagined is a celebration of cultural heritage, community participation, and the universal power of storytelling. Whether audiences are familiar with the Ramayana or encountering it for the first time, the production promises an accessible and memorable cultural experience.

The production was recently featured in The Weston Observer, highlighting Hub of Myths' mission to make epic stories meaningful and accessible to modern audiences.
