Ranjani Saigal 09/18/2026 The annual IIT AGNE New England Picnic brought together IIT alumni, their families, and friends for a wonderful afternoon filled with good food, laughter, music, and camaraderie. The picnic offered a relaxed setting for alumni to reconnect with old friends, meet fellow graduates, and enjoy time together away from the demands of everyday life. With alumni from different IIT batches and generations coming together, there was plenty of reminiscing, storytelling, and catching up. And, of course, no picnic is complete without great food! A delicious spread gave everyone plenty to talk about as they gathered around the tables and shared a meal with friends. The fun continued with Antakshari, which quickly became one of the highlights of the afternoon. Alumni and family members joined in enthusiastically, singing songs across generations and bringing out some good-natured competitive spirit. The music, laughter, and occasional attempts to find the perfect song made it a memorable part of the day. Bingo added another dose of excitement. Participants watched their cards carefully, hoping to be the first to call out “Bingo!” The game brought together people of all ages and created yet another opportunity for everyone to mingle and have fun. Perhaps the most rewarding part of the picnic was seeing IIT alumni from different graduating classes and generations come together as one community. The IIT connection clearly transcends the years spent on campus. Whether they graduated decades ago or more recently, alumni shared a common bond that made conversations flow easily and friendships feel familiar. For families, the picnic was also an opportunity to experience the warmth of the IIT AGNE community and meet the people behind the many professional and social connections that make the organization special. The afternoon passed all too quickly, leaving everyone with happy memories, renewed friendships, and perhaps a few new songs to add to their Antakshari repertoire! The IIT AGNE New England Picnic was a wonderful reminder that the IIT journey doesn't end at graduation—the friendships and community continue for generations.
