The Divine Legend of Krishna's Birth

According to the Bhagavata Purana and the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna was born at midnight in the prison of Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva. King Kansa, blinded by fear and arrogance, had imprisoned his own sister after hearing the heavenly prophecy that her eighth son would bring about his downfall.

On the sacred night of Krishna's birth, divine miracles unfolded. The prison doors opened by themselves, the guards fell into a deep sleep, and the mighty Yamuna River made way for Vasudeva to carry the newborn child safely across to Gokul. There, Krishna was lovingly raised by Mother Yashoda and Nanda Baba, growing into the playful Bala Gopal whose smile continues to captivate millions of hearts.
