Longing for Krishna

This longing may never be a sorrow alone, but a bridge to divine union. For in the words of the Bhakti saints, the ache of separation (Viraha) is itself the sweetest form of devotion, for it keeps Krishna ever alive in the devotee's heart.

Text Box:When dawn unfolds her saffron veil
My eyes still search Your smiling face
The breeze may carry jasmine's scent
Yet none can match Your gentle grace

The flute is silent—where are You?
Its melody still fills my soul
Each note once lit my weary path
Each whisper made my spirit whole

I seek You in the morning sun
In moonlit skies and rivers deep
Among the stars Your footprints glow
Yet still my lonely heart weeps for You

The peacock dances in the rain
The cuckoo sings from leafy bowers
But Vrindavan feels empty now
Without Your laughter among the flowers

O Cowherd Boy with lotus eyes
Whose smile can calm the fiercest storm
One glimpse of You, my only wealth
Would keep my trembling spirit warm

The butter pots may still be full
The calves still wander through the glade
Yet every path recalls Your feet
Where once Your playful footprints stayed

The Yamuna flows day and night
She hums Your name in every wave
I ask her softly, "Where is He?"
She answers only, "Be still... and crave

My heart has grown into a flute
Hollowed by longing, carved by tears
Come breathe Your love through every reed
And banish all my doubts and fears
