My Father — My First Guru

Before I learned the letters of life
Before I knew the world’s joy and strife
You held my hand and showed me the way
A guiding lamp through every day

You taught me lessons beyond every book
Through your actions, your smile, and your gentle look
You showed me honesty, courage, and care
And taught me that love is meant to share

When I stumbled, you helped me rise
When I doubted, you gave me strength to realize
Your silent sacrifices, your endless love
Were blessings sent from heaven above

You were my shelter in storms of life
My strength in moments of pain and strife
With every prayer and every deed
You planted in me the seeds I need

A father by name, a Guru by soul
You guided my heart and made me whole
Your wisdom remains my guiding star
Shining within me wherever I am, near or far

Though time may pass and years may fly
Your teachings will never fade or die
With gratitude and love, I bow to you
My first Guru, my father, forever true
