Press Release 06/25/2026 Din Check, an award-winning, Boston-based live Bollywood band, brought the high-octane energy and rich musical tapestry of Indian cinema to Northborough with a free outdoor summer concert at Ellsworth McAfee Park on June 20, 2026. Hosted by Northborough Recreation, the two-hour cultural celebration welcomed over 300 people from across the region, marking a major programming milestone as the first time the town's annual Summer Concert Series has featured Indian musicians. The afternoon commenced with a special opening performance by talented teen vocalist Preanshi Charnalia, who recently collaborated with the band on their original single, Haseen Khwaab. Following the opening act, Din Check’s six-member live ensemble took the stage, delivering a dynamic performance that featured sweeping romantic melodies, timeless golden classics, and contemporary chart-toppers spanning from the 1960s to modern-day hits. Known for their versatility and energy, the band captivated the diverse audience with their signature multi-genre mashups, seamlessly blending iconic Bollywood tracks with American pop, rock, and disco classics. In addition to the live musical performance, attendees experienced an immersive cultural festival experience featuring authentic Indian cuisine from local favorite Biryaniz N Breadz, alongside intricate custom mehndi art. The landmark event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Northborough Recreation Director Allie Lane and prominent community leader Shela Eledroos, whose shared vision continues to bring inclusive, diverse cultural programming to the local community. Notable regional dignitaries in attendance included Manisha Jain, Executive Director of the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA, and Poppy Charnalia, a prominent Lexington-based investor, poet, and artist. This performance marks a monumental chapter for Din Check as they celebrate 15 years of entertaining the South Asian diaspora and broader communities across the United States. They also passed the 100th show mark in 2026. Since their founding in a suburban Massachusetts basement in April 2011 by Jolly Bhatia, Sam Rao, and Sameer Bhambhani, the core team has maintained an exceptional on-stage chemistry and an inclusive performance style that treats audiences like extended family. Beyond New England, the band’s growing national reputation has led to invitations to perform at major charity fundraisers and private celebrations across Connecticut, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Virginia. # # # Derived from "noise check" and the phonetic rhythm of the traditional Indian percussion instrument, the tabla, Din Check is the most popular US-based live Bollywood band for public festivals, high-end weddings, and corporate entertainment.
