Ingredients
For Paneer:
- 200 g paneer (cubed)
- Warm water (for soaking paneer)
For Gravy:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 medium onions (finely chopped)
- 3 medium tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 10–12 cashews (soaked & ground)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- Salt (to taste)
- ½ cup fresh cream
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Paneer
Soak paneer cubes in warm water for 10 minutes to keep them soft. - Cook the Base
Heat butter and oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute. - Add Tomato & Spices
Pour in tomato puree. Cook until oil starts separating.
Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. - Make it Rich
Add cashew paste and cook for 2–3 minutes. - Add Paneer
Drain paneer and add to gravy. Mix gently. - Finish with Cream
Add fresh cream, garam masala, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for 3–5 minutes. - Garnish & Serve
Garnish with coriander leaves and a drizzle of cream.
