Press Release 06/05/2026 IAGB Hosts Successful 5K Run Walk for Education & Vision The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) successfully hosted its annual 5K Run Walk for Education & Vision at Depot Park along the Minuteman Community Bikeway in Bedford, MA. The event brought together families, youth, seniors, and community supporters for a morning dedicated to fitness, service, and collective impact. This year’s walkathon supported two meaningful causes: All participants received the event T shirts, creating a vibrant sea of blue as they walked and ran the scenic 5K route. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, teamwork, and a shared commitment to giving back. Volunteers and community partners played a key role in ensuring a smooth and uplifting experience for all attendees. Nilesh Agrawal, President of IAGB, said that IAGB’s 5K Run Walk continues to reflect the heart of the organization’s mission, bringing the community together for causes that matter. He expressed gratitude to every participant, volunteer, and supporter for making the event meaningful, and noted that supporting Ekal Vidyalaya and Vision Aid allows IAGB to extend its impact beyond Greater Boston. Vijayendra Bhargava, IAGB Director and Lead Organizer of the 5K Walk and Run, shared that it was inspiring to see the community come together with such enthusiasm, and expressed appreciation for the volunteers and participants whose support made the event truly meaningful. Manisha Jain, Executive Director of Ekal Vidyalaya, shared her appreciation, noting that the walkathon was exceptionally well organized and a wonderful example of how IAGB brings the community together.
