In a profound display of devotion and community spirit, Chinmaya Maruti in Andover, Massachusetts, hosted the Annual Akhand Ramayan Path on May 1 and May 2. The event featured a continuous, 24-hour reading of the Shri Ramcharitmanas, composed by the revered poet-saint Tulsidas.

This year’s uninterrupted recitation held profound significance as it coincided with the 75th anniversary of the global Chinmaya Mission, adding a layer of historical and spiritual celebration to the gathering.
The Annual Akhand Ramayan Path serves as the grand culmination of the community's dedicated monthly Sunderkhand readings. The continuous 24-hour format requires deep commitment from volunteers and participants who take turns reading and singing the verses, filling the ashram with continuous prayers and chanting.

This beloved local tradition honors a lasting legacy. The annual event was originally initiated by the late Ritu Gaind, whose vision brought the community together through this immersive spiritual practice. Today, the tradition is proudly kept running continuously under the devoted leadership of her husband, Jagjit Gaind, ensuring that her dedication to dharma and community endures.

The successful completion of the Akhand Ramayan Path marks another milestone for Chinmaya Maruti Andover, reaffirming its commitment to preserving and sharing traditional cultural and spiritual education for generations to come.
