Poem: Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day

Her beautiful smile

And a beautiful hand

Always surrounded me

I felt in my body

And every cell

She was homely, kind

But so advanced in her thinking

A long time ago

She used her maiden name

Instead of her husband's last name

I believe my mother was a

First teacher

And her teaching

Stayed with you

As long as you live

With her blessing, my morning

Always starts with thinking

Her reminder of you are special

And god made a room for you

In her womb
