HHD 2026
Spring has finally arrived, and New Englanders look forward to getting out and enjoying themselves. One activity that has stood the test of time is Hindu Heritage Day, which will be held this year on May 16, 2026, from 3PM to 8 PM, in Diamond Middle School, Lexington, MA.
Organized by VHPA, it is one of the most popular events of the year. It features a Cultural program, Mela with vendors selling jewelry, ethnic clothes and footwear, mehendi, face painting, hard to find books, savory snacks and much more. A highlight this year will be the Painting exhibition, with artists creating their masterpieces on site, which will be judged by a panel of independent judges.
On stage will be an entertaining cultural program, with local music and dance schools, Bal Vihars and other organizations presenting their best items.
Associated with HHD is the Storytelling contest, which will take place on May 2, from 11AM to 3 PM at Om Hindu Community Center, Billerica, MA. Children of all ages will tell stories from Hindu traditions. This will be followed by a highly entertaining Trivia, in which adults as well as children will participate. Results of all contests will be announced during the cultural program on May 16.
Of course, nothing is complete without food. So come and enjoy the mouth-watering delicacies by local vendors.
