This inaugural year, starting with Pran Pratishtha on May 1, 2025, has been defined by the rhythm of music, dance and arts programs, chatter of children learning, thought-provoking talks, service to the community and environment, resonance of Vedic chants and the collective energy of many spiritual gatherings.

This is an event to be celebrated with all members of the community, who have played an integral role in making this first year such a success.

The tithi of the Samvatsara Abhishekam is on Sat April 18, 2026. It is happening at Om Hindu Community Center, 240 Boston Road, Billerica, MA. But what is a Samvatsara?

Samvatsara is a Sanskrit term for a "year" within the Hindu Vedic calendar and astrological system. It is the renewal of the divine energy within the kshetra. In Agamic tradition, every temple is a living spiritual body. After one year of daily Poojas, the deities' Shakti is revitalized through this sacred tradition, through sacred chants and pujas. Attending the Samvatsara Abhishekam strengthens one's devotion, awakens inner peace and removes any negativity that may have accumulated in the surroundings.

Puja will start at 7 AM and continue till 1 PM. All devotees are invited to attend, recharge themselves and get the blessings of Ishwar.

In the evening, there is a divine and lively Bhakti Bhajan Beats program, starting at 6 PM. This is a unique event, in which devotees sing and dance to the uplifting beats of bhajans, and lose themselves in ecstasy. It is open to all, the young, the young at heart, and those who consider themselves old. It will also feature a FABULOUS ensemble that includes leading singers and musicians from several local bands who are coming to together to put on a high energy show.
