Nilesh Agrawal 04/16/2026 IAGB Hosts Hands‑On 3D Printing Workshop, Bringing STEM Learning to the Community The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) successfully hosted an engaging and educational 3D Printing Workshop on April 11, 2026, bringing together students, families, and community members for an immersive introduction to emerging technology. The event highlighted IAGB’s ongoing commitment to promoting STEM learning, youth engagement, and community enrichment across the Greater Boston region. The workshop featured hands‑on sessions where participants learned the fundamentals of 3D design, modeling, and printing. Students had the opportunity to work directly with instructors, explore real‑world applications of 3D printing, and create their own take‑home printed objects. The program was designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage young learners to explore technology‑driven fields. IAGB was honored to welcome Sandeep Asija, of Asija Properties, as the Guest of Honor for the event. His presence and support underscored the importance of community partnerships in expanding educational opportunities for youth. “Workshops like this empower our next generation to think creatively and embrace innovation,” he shared during the event. A key highlight of the workshop was the collaboration with IIT AGNE, whose members — Alkesh Shah, Roopesh Mathur, Bala Balasubramanian, and Vivek Badami — played an instrumental role in guiding students through the technical concepts and hands‑on activities. Their expertise and mentorship significantly enriched the learning experience for all participants. The workshop was led by Prashant Kulkarni, IAGB’s Workshop Lead, along with a dedicated team of volunteers including Deepak Garg, Lima Das, Shital Bhammar, Manish Bhowmick, and Vijay Ejenkar. Their coordination ensured a smooth, engaging, and impactful experience for all participants. IAGB also expressed gratitude to Gautam and Rachana Shah for providing the venue, and to Dev Patil of The Treasury, Burlington for supporting the event with refreshments. IAGB President Nilesh Agrawal emphasized the organization’s mission to create meaningful learning opportunities for the community. “Our goal is to bring families together through programs that inspire, educate, and strengthen community connections. This workshop reflects IAGB’s commitment to empowering youth and fostering a culture of innovation.” The event also featured photography by Jeevan Sarode, whose work captured the energy and excitement of the day. Photos from the workshop will be shared with media outlets and the community. Founded in 1962, IAGB is one of the oldest and largest Indian American organizations in New England. The association continues to host cultural, educational, and civic programs throughout the year, including its flagship India Day, Senior Expo, Discover India Series, and Republic Day celebrations.
