Vision Aid Presents Brothers In Arms: The Lions Of Sivaganga

Press Release
03/19/2026

Vision Aid warmly invite you to  our signature annual event on Sunday, July 26th from 4 to 7:30 pm. Both ticketing and sponsorships are open now at www.visionaid.org/event. It will be a Broadway style, in-person, live event in Andover, MA. It will additionally be broadcast on Zoom for viewers outside New England.
Immerse yourself in the Broadway Style Historical Spectacular "Brothers in Arms: The Lions of Sivaganga" — a breathtaking dance production honoring the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence movement.

Step back into the late 1700s for a spectacular Broadway-style dance production. Told through the eyes of a remorseful British Colonel, this is the saga of the Marudhu Brothers and Queen Velu Nachiar—warriors who trained the first women's army and fought with unshakable honor against colonial rule.

From Kathak to high-energy folk dances and Bharatanatyam, get ready for a production that ignites pride and remembrance.

Vision-Aid's grand productions for the past 18 years need no introduction to New England audiences, and this year's show takes it to a whole new level bringing to Boston, a spectacular new choreography by renowned dance producer Kalaimamani Madurai R. Muralidaran, ably assisted by super talented Boston area Artistic Directors Jeyanthi Ghatraju and Sripriya Natarajan Moorthy, with several leading area dance teachers and 50+ dancers.

With your help, we'll make this another memorable, sold-out and spectacular event for all of New England, while helping to raise much needed funds to support the visually impaired in India!

ENGLISH NARRATION AND SUBTITLES WILL MAKE THE SHOW ACCESSIBLE AND ENJOYABLE FOR ALL!
