2026 Republic Day of India was a phenomenal celebration of 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram & Gandhi ji , the reason India got independence and became a Republic,  crowned by an amazing conversation with Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's daughter Mrs. Anita Pfaff.

The virtual session organized by Global Peace Secretariat started with singing of Vande Mataram by a well known Guyanese American singer from New York Mrs. Geeta Bisram followed by recital of 2 sonnets of a famous poet Shri Balvant Rai Thakore , who was classmates with Gandhi ji in Gujarat and helped Gandhi ji in India's freedom struggle by his grand daughter Mrs. Shefali Mehta , all the way from New Zealand. These sonnets were recently heard in PM Modi's speech to the nation.

Another important guest in the session was Shri Sanjay Choudhari,  former Secretary General of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Trust, whose mother knew Netaji since her childhood with deep family connections with Netaji and his role in India's freedom struggle.

" I wanted to hear from Shri Sanjay ji , the history of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose being 1st Indian to unfurl the flag of India on Nicobar Andaman Islands because of which , the islands were renamed with Indian names in 2024"..... Secretary General Kumu Gupta.

It was an amazing honor and privilege to have Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's daughter Mrs. Anita Pfaff, grace the occasion from Germany, January 23rd being Netaji's birthday and talk about Netaji and Gandhi ji's relationship in getting India's independence from British rule.
