Aditi Soni 01/20/2026 Cancer Mukti Foundation to Host Comprehensive Cancer Awareness & Education Program Cancer Mukti Foundation, a Boston-based nonprofit organization committed to community health education and cancer awareness, is hosting a comprehensive Cancer Awareness and Education Program aimed at empowering individuals, families, and caregivers with knowledge, resources, and culturally informed guidance. Cancer continues to impact families across communities, and early awareness, prevention, and support play a critical role in outcomes. This day-long program brings together a distinguished group of physicians and experts to address cancer from medical, preventive, psychological, cultural, and integrative perspectives. The program will open with welcome remarks from a CMF representative, followed by an educational session by Dr. Kartik Sehgal, who will provide an overview of cancer basics, key risk factors, and address common myths versus facts. Recognizing the growing interest in integrative and traditional approaches, Dr. Pratibah Ayurved will discuss the role of Ayurveda as supportive care in oncology, focusing on preparing, protecting, and restoring the body alongside conventional cancer treatments. The emotional and psychological impact of cancer will be addressed by Dr. Malini Prabhu, who will speak about the psychiatric consequences of a cancer diagnosis and offer practical advice for how family members and friends can provide meaningful psychological support. Dr. Trisha Pasricha will highlight what individuals can do about cancer, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and why timely screening and lifestyle awareness matter more than ever. The program will also explore the medical, cultural, and social implications of a cancer diagnosis, presented by Dr. Manju Sheth, with attention to culturally sensitive care and community dynamics. Looking toward the future, Dr. Sheila Ranganath will present on cancer research and emerging therapies, offering insight into advances that are shaping the next generation of cancer treatment. The event will conclude with a panel discussion and Q&A session featuring all speakers, followed by closing remarks and a community lunch.
