Chinmaya Mission Boston kicks of Amrit Mahotsav of the Chinmaya Movement

Hari OM!!!

The year 2026 marks 75 glorious years since Swami Chinmayananda started on the divine mission  of spreading happiness through Vedanta, the timeless and universal science of life. What  started with a 100-day discourse at a small temple in Pune, India, has now grown to 300  centers in 30 countries, 100 educational  institutions, hospitals, diagnostic centers, etc. – a worldwide movement that has touched and uplifted countless lives.

This milestone is  being celebrated in a monumental way across  all centers around the world as Chinmaya  Amrit Mahotsav, with the signature event being the collective chanting of the Hanuman

Chalisa to invoke the grace and power of Lord  Hanuman for universal peace.

With Lord Hanuman being the presiding deity  of Chinmaya Maruti, the Boston chapter of Chinmaya Mission, plans are afoot for a grand  celebration on Sunday May 10, 2026.

The  main event will be the Hanuman Chalisa Havan where over 300 families will chant the Hanuman Chalisa with every family seated at a  havan to offer their prayers.

The build up to the big celebration is being kicked off this Saturday January 17th, with a 12-hour collective chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa, led by Dr. Shashi Dwarakanath,  the spiritual guide of Chinmaya Maruti, who will be chanting for the full 12 hours! This  event is open to one and all to join in

the collective chanting to invoke the  grace and blessings of Lord Hanuman for our individual peace and strength as well as for universal  peace around the world. Chinmaya  Maruti wishes for the maximum  number of people to avail of this  unique and rare opportunity.

Devotees are invited to join the  chanting in person at Chinmaya Maruti located at 1 Union Street, Andover, MA, at any time during the 12-hours and for any  length of time that suits them. While a sign up is provided for planning purposes, it is not  required and there is no cost for joining. A zoom link is also provided for those who are  unable to attend in person but wish to join the chanting remotely.
