Global Peace Secretariat launches an Independent Indentured Labor Crime Against Humanity ILCAHM Working Group
Global Peace Secretariat recently launched an independent Indentured Labor Crime Against Humanity ILCAHM Working Group for global recognition of the same.
The ILCAHM Working Group is comprised of scholars, historians and members of the global diaspora community from Mauritius, the Caribbean & other areas impacted most by the suffering.
Mrs. Geeta Bisram, a well known Guyanese American performer, has graciously agreed for her singing of "Vaishnav Jan To" , Mahatma Gandhi's favorite bhajan to be used as anthem for the ILCAHM Working Group.
" Most of Indentured Labor were from UP, my grandfather's place and I grew up hearing of the ' Girmitya's' being taken from India on ships as laborers to distant lands. My heart goes out to their sufferings ".... Secretary General & Nobel Peace Prize Nominee 2023 Miss Kumu Gupta.
