Boston, Massachusetts: Americans4Hindus, a national organization dedicated to protecting civil rights, promoting Hindu representation, and empowering the Hindu American community, proudly announced the launch of its newest chapter in Massachusetts on October 25, 2025. The chapter will be led by Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki, who has been unanimously and enthusiastically appointed as the President of the Americans4Hindus Massachusetts Chapter.

The launch marks an important milestone in expanding the organization’s grassroots network across the United States, particularly in regions with growing and engaged Hindu American communities. The  Massachusetts Chapter will focus on advocacy, youth empowerment, community outreach, interfaith engagement, and education to ensure accurate representation of Hindu heritage and values in public spaces, policy discussions, and classrooms.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki as the President of our  Massachusetts Chapter,” said Geeta Sikand, Vice President, Communications Americans4Hindus National Leadership. “Her passion, commitment to community service, political awareness and leadership skills make her the ideal person to build a strong team and advance our mission in Massachusetts. With this new chapter, we take another meaningful step in ensuring that Hindu Americans have a voice in civic life and are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.”

As Chapter President, Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki will lead initiatives that bring together  students, parents, professionals, and faith leaders across the Greater Boston Area and Massachusetts. Under her leadership, the chapter will work to:

Advocate for equitable and accurate treatment of Hindu Americans in schools, media, and public institutions

Build collaborative partnerships with local organizations and interfaith groups

Political empowerment of Sanatani Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs while encouraging civic participation and fair representation

Provide political education for Hindu Americans.

“I am honored to take on this responsibility and humbled by the trust placed in me,” said Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki. “Boston has a vibrant and growing Hindu community and together, we will work to foster unity, strengthen our voice, and ensure that Hindu American contributions and concerns are recognized and respected throughout Massachusetts.”
