Lokvani Wishes You All A Very Merry Season And A Happy New Year

Lokvani Team
12/23/2004

From our family to yours - Happy holidays and wishes for a great year ahead!

May all your wishes come true this New Year and may you find joy, peace and prosperity.

This is the time to spread and share warmth and light, to come together as one and unite in the true sense of the word.

Apart from a comprehensive business directory, our bi-weekly newsletter covers major community events and personalities, including visitors from the sub-continent and is accessed by over 20,000 subscribers. Operated by a dedicated team, (Chitra Parayath, Nirmala Garimella, Ranjani Saigal, Anil Saigal and Anoop Kumar,) www.lokvani.com is now gaining attention as a major news source in the region.

When we started www.lokvani.com three years ago with two hundred subscribers, little did we suspect that our subscriber base would grow so rapidly! Our magazine with its comprehensive business directory, articles on Politics, Technology, Art and culture, Legal and Medical issues, Book, Film and Music reviews and community news, was embraced warmly by our readers. We began to spread our wings.

Our objective has always been to inform, entertain and engage and serve as an intellectual bridge between the Indian American and the American Mainstream community. In the process, we have succeeded in making helping small business owners, offered our resources to community crises, brought well needed attention to important social causes and helped community leaders address our readers.

We reported extensively on the Democratic National Convention that was held in Boston in July 2004, featuring views and interviews with political leaders and commentators.

We were the only Indian media invited to the Governors office for a meeting of the Ethnic media in New England and the first to feature an interview with Mr. Romney on www.lokvani.com.

We have published interviews with frontrunners in the community; in the field of technology, business, politics and entertainment, and served to communicate their message to our readers.

Some other prominent people featured on lokvani include local entrepreneur Desh Deshpande, Self help Guru Deepak Chopra, Sarod Maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussein, writer Chitra Bannerjee Divakaruni, singer Gulam Ali, sports legend Sunil Gavaskar and the Bollywood sensations Aishwarya Rai, Zeenat Aman and Manisha Koirala among others.

The success of lokvani was possible only with the help of friends like you.

We value and cherish your support in nurturing and growing a true
community endeavor, www.lokvani.com.
Here is looking forward to a long and enduring relationship.
