Encourage Men to pledge Against Domestic violence

Global Peace Secretariat Secretary General Kumu Gupta once stated, "There cannot be global peace without ending all violence against women." These powerful words resonate deeply, especially during October, which is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this month of reflection and action, we call upon men everywhere to stand up and take a pledge to stop domestic violence against women.

Domestic violence is a harrowing reality for countless women across the globe. Statistics reveal that about 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced either physical or  partner violence  in their lifetime. These figures are not just numbers—they represent lives shattered by violence and hurt. Behind each statistic is a woman who has suffered in silence, dealing with the aftermath of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse.

The time has come for men to be proactive. Men, as allies in this fight, hold the power to drive change, challenge toxic behaviors, and cultivate a culture of respect and empathy. A pledge to stand against domestic violence means committing to uphold values of non-violence, intervene when witnessing abuse, and support those affected by it.

By signing this petition, you are not just supporting a pledge, but you are fostering a community that supports victims and challenges the structures that allow such violence to persist.

Let us work together to ensure that peace does not only remain an ideal, but becomes a reality for every woman. Sign this petition today and take a stand against domestic violence. Together, we can make a difference.
