Komal Tanna 10/11/2025 Lively ISW Garba and Dandiya Festival Draws Crowds By Komal Tanna The India Society of Worcester (ISW) hosted two unforgettable nights of Garba and Dandiya on September 19 and 20, 2025, drawing record crowds and high-energy celebration. Tickets sold out a week in advance, and both evenings were filled with music, dance, and cultural excitement from start to finish. Dancers of all ages—from families and first-timers to longtime enthusiasts, with strong participation from younger attendees—kept the circles moving late into the night. St. George Cathedral transformed into a hub of lights, music, and festive flavors, with food, sweet treats, and colorful shopping stalls adding to the lively atmosphere. Nonstop music and high-energy performances energized the crowds throughout the evenings. Over both nights, more than 800 participants joined in the mesmerizing Mataji Aarti, celebrating the triumph of good over evil, followed by prasad for all. “Garba Nights are a tradition that brings generations together on the dance floor,” said event organizers. “The enthusiasm this year was incredible, and we’re excited to make next year’s celebration even bigger and better.” The India Society of Worcester thanks the community, performers, and participants who helped make Garba Nights 2025 a resounding success.
