To register for any or all the classes, please visit the website www.omhcc-ma.org COOK IT UP – A Novel Cooking Class For Children Ages 11 And Up Our motto is simple: Vegetarian literacy and culinary independence. This hands-on class is designed for kids as young as 11, giving them the tools to prepare simple, tasty meals. For young adults and adults, it’s about building the vocabulary and confidence to explore vegetarian cooking — one spice, one grain, one recipe at a time. Backed by the experience of mothers, grandmothers, and lifelong home cooks, this workshop blends tradition with practicality. And with a safety-first approach using Instant Pots and induction cooktops, everyone can cook with confidence. Join us and discover how fun, flavorful, and empowering vegetarian cooking can be. Cook it up, share it with family and friends, and carry these skills for a lifetime! Cook It Up — Learn UP — and UP your independence! Class size is limited, so register early to avoid disappointment. BAL VIHAR at OMHCC – Where Children Learn And Discover Their Cultural Heritage While Playing. The Bal Vihar provides an opportunity for our children to discover their cultural bond with Bharat and develop pride in their Hindu identity. Devnagri language instruction as well as cultural activities promotes both the physical and spiritual well-being of the child. The program is designed to develop volunteer spirit in children, a sense of awareness of our obligations to society, a sense of belonging to a global family, and to develop leadership qualities. It is open to children 5 years and above. Activities include Hindi class, stories, prayer, inspirational songs, poems, bhajans, plays, crafts, celebration of festivals and indoor games. The Bal Vihar is a weekly 2-hour program. Connect the children to their roots through the Arts. For children Ages 4 to 18’ BHARATNATYAM CLASSES – by Neha Parikh Neha Parikh, founder of Chidambaram Nritya Kala Academy, is a passionate Bharata Natyam dancer and teacher who brings energy, authenticity, and care to every class. With a master’s in fine arts from Nalanda Institute, Mumbai, and years of performing and teaching experience, she has guided countless students to shine on stage, win competitions, and celebrate their Arangetrams. Along with Bharatanatyam, she teaches Mohiniattam and Indian folk dance, making her classes both rich in tradition and full of joy. Recognized by the NH State Arts Council and honored with multiple awards, Neha continues to share her love for dance through vibrant performances, community fundraisers, and her ever-growing circle of students. YOGA CLASS - by Samita Apte Samita Apte is a certified yoga instructor & mindfulness practitioner with 14+ years of experience. She empowers individuals to connect with their inner wisdom, healing abilities, & extensive potential through yoga and meditation, fostering a happier, more compassionate life. Free and open to all.
