Parting Message from Term 2023-2025 President Tanu Phoenix

My dearest community,

As I stand before you today at the close of my presidential term on September 30th, I am full of gratitude for the love and trust you have shown, and full of hope for what we can continue to build together. It has been my distinct honor to serve as President of the India Association of Greater Boston, and now, my absolute delight to continue as a trustee of an organization that has carried the torch of cultural pride, community service, and unity for over six decades.

IAGB is a place where integrity takes the spotlight, where kindness takes center stage, and where love for one another is the headline act. Our charter is a living, breathing promise. A promise that IAGB will continue to be a bridge between communities, a safe space where every voice is heard, every culture is honored, and every heart beats in harmony with the other.

For me personally, this journey has been transformative. It taught me the true meaning of leadership, not in titles, but in teamwork, resilience, and service. My team members of term 2023-2025 came together as one, to serve this community with our hearts and souls. We have debated and disagreed but also celebrated and triumphed together. I am humbled and grateful to have led alongside such extraordinary individuals. Bound by trust, respect, and passion for service, we strived to take IAGB to greater heights and create a lasting impact for our community.

Now, my joys know no bound to announce that Nilesh Agrawal will assume the role of President of IAGB starting October 1, 2025. As I pass the torch, I do so with pride, humility, and gratitude. Together, we have honored the past, celebrated the present, and laid the foundation for a brighter future. I leave with full confidence that under Nilesh’s able leadership, IAGB will continue to soar higher, celebrating culture, serving the community, and fostering unity.

To my fellow board members, volunteers, choreographers, artists, sponsors, and most importantly, our community – THANK YOU for your trust, time, ideas, and encouragement. None of this would have been possible without you.

Though my term ends, I will always remain an ambassador and cheerleader of IAGB’s mission as a trustee of IAGB. Let us continue to be bridge-builders and champions of understanding.

With love, pride, and unwavering belief in our shared humanity,
Tanu Phoenix
President, India Association of Greater Boston (2023–2025)
