This October, just in time for Diwali, A Diwali Dilemma will debut on YouTube and TikTok — a bold new web mini-series that reimagines Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol with a Desi, feminist twist. Starring an award-winning cast with credits across Disney+, Netflix, and AppleTV, the series follows Mala, an Indian American woman pressured by her toxic boss to throw a token Diwali party.

When three female spirits from her past appear, she's forced to confront the life she's living and the one she still dreams of. Written and directed by Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar, A Diwali Dilemma blends the themes of justice, renewal, and light with the voices of South Asian women at the center of the story — a festive, resonant take on a classic tale for audiences everywhere.
