Press Release 08/21/2025 India Day 2025 at the Hatch Shell A Resounding Celebration of Culture, Unity, and Community Boston, MA – August 16, 2025 The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) proudly hosted India Day 2025 at the iconic Hatch Shell on Saturday, August 16th. Celebrating India’s 79th Independence Day, marking 78 years of freedom since 1947, the event lived up to its theme, “Festival of Nations – A Cultural Kaleidoscope,” beautifully reflecting IAGB’s unwavering commitment to building bridges across communities. It was a vibrant tribute to unity in diversity - a celebration that brings together Indian and non-Indian ethnic groups in a shared expression of culture, connection, and creativity. “A cultural showcase like no other,” captivated by a spectacular lineup of performances that beautifully reflect the spirit of unity in diversity. From graceful traditional Indian music to captivating dances to vibrant cross-cultural fusions and youth-led showcases, the cultural performers lit up the stage with talent and passion, leaving audiences captivated. The celebration reached its grand crescendo with a high-energy live concert by Din Check, Greater Boston’s favorite band, whose electrifying blend of Bollywood hits, retro classics, and dynamic fusion music had the entire crowd on its feet. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, was a bustling marketplace of 25+ vendors, offering everything from handcrafted ethnic treasures and artisanal goods to cultural merchandise and community resources. The aromas of Indian cuisine, brought to life by our official food partner The Treasury Indian & Greek Kitchen, completed the sensory experience. Gratitude and Acknowledgments: IAGB extends its deepest gratitude to all who made India Day 2025 a success: A Message from the President Tanu Phoenix: “IAGB is humbled by the outpouring of love and participation from our community. India Day is more than just a celebration of independence - it is a platform for unity, diversity, and shared pride. Through this event, we aim to honor our heritage while embracing the many voices that enrich our collective story. This event would not have been possible without our performers, partners, volunteers, and the incredible audiences who joined us. Together, we created memories that will last for generations. The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB), New England’s oldest and largest Indian American organization, continues to stay committed to promoting cultural, educational, civic, and community engagement and working together towards building a stronger community”. ![]() You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
